PRESCRIBING INFORMATION

Indications

  • Clenmysol Tab. is indicated in acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract associated with spastic narrowing, altered secretion formation and disturbed secretion transport, in particular spastic bronchitis, emphysema bronchitis and bronchial asthma.
  • If long-term treatment of bronchial asthma with Clenmysol Tab. is required, an accompanying anti-inflammatory therapy (e.g. with corticosteroids) should always be given.

Dosage

  • Adults and adolescents from the age of 12: Take 1 tablet in the morning and in the evening.
  • The dose can be modified in longer treatment. A total daily dose should not be exceeded of 4 x 1 tablet Clenmysol Tab..

Administration

  • Clenmysol Tab. is orally taken with meals and plenty of liquid.
  • Do not take Clenmysol Tab. lying down.
  • Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in this drug.
  • Clenmysol Tab. must not be used in severe hyperthyroidism, tachycardia arrhythmias, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy and pheochromocytoma.
  • The medicinal product is contraindicated in case of a hereditary predisposition which may lead to intolerance to any of the excipients of the medicinal product.

Possible adverse reactions:

  • Feeling restless, nervousness;
  • Tremor, headache;
  • Palpitations, tachycardia;
  • Nausea.
  • Clenmysol Tab. should be used cautiously in individuals with a recent heart attack and/or severe coronary artery disease, patients with diabetes mellitus that is difficult to control, patients with disturbed bronchomotor function and large amounts of secretion, patients in the case of impaired kidney function or severe liver disease.
  • In case of symptoms or signs of a progressive skin rash (sometimes associated with blistering or mucosal lesions), the use of Clenmysol Tab. should be stopped.
  • The use of Clenmysol Tab. can lead to positive results in doping controls.
  • Clenmysol Tab. contains lactose. Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, total lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine.
  • Use Clenmysol Tab. during the first 3 months of pregnancy is not recommended. Clenmysol Tab. should only be used in the last few days before childbirth after consulting a doctor.
  • If treatment with Clenmysol Tab., breast-feeding should be discontinued.
  • Dizziness might occur during treatment with Clenmysol Tab. Patients should exercise caution when driving or using machines if dizziness occurs.
