PRESCRIBING INFORMATION

Indications

  • Prevention and treatment of calcium/vitamin D3 deficiency; supportive treatment of osteoporosis in women, the elderly, smokers, alcoholics, and high-risk individuals (those using corticosteroids for extended periods, after trauma, or prolonged immobility).
  • Treatment of rickets, osteomalacia, and acute and chronic bone resorption.
  • Daily calcium and vitamin D supplementation supports bone and teeth growth in children, adolescents, and during puberty.
  • Calcium supplementation for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Dosage

  • Dietary supplement and osteoporosis prevention in adults:
    1-2 tablets daily with a glass of water, taken after meals or as directed by a doctor.
  • Treatment of nutritional rickets:
    Only use as directed by doctors.
    2 tablets/day, for approximately 10 days.
  • Other special populations:
    As directed by doctors.

Administration

  • Swallow the tablet whole with plenty of water.
  • Do not take this medication with milk, tea, or coffee.
  • Children under 18 years of age.
  • Individuals with hypersensitivity to any component of the medication.
  • Individuals with gastrointestinal abnormalities, liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, hypercalcemia, or hypercalciuria.

Possible adverse reactions:

  • Constipation, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea;
  • Pruritus, urticarial.
  • Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, kidney stones, heart disease, and atherosclerosis. In cases of hypercalcemia or signs of impaired renal function, the dose should be reduced or the medication discontinued.
  • Caltab-Stella 1250/125 contains sucrose. Do not use this medication in patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or sucrase-isomaltase enzyme deficiency.
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women should only use this medication under the guidance of a doctor.
  • Caltab-Stella 1250/125 does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
