Indications

• Used to thin mucus in cases of acute or chronic respiratory tract infections accompanied by productive cough.

Dosage

• Adults and children over 12 years of age: Take 10 ml, 3 times daily.
• Children aged 6 to 12 years: Take 5 ml, 3 times daily.
• Children aged 2 to 6 years: Take 2.5 ml, 3 times daily.
• Children under 2 years of age: Take 1.25 ml, 3 times daily.
• Do not use Stellavon Kids for more than 8–10 days without a doctor’s advise.

Administration

• Stellavon Kids syrup is taken orally.
• Use the included measuring cup to accurately measure the volume.

• Known to be hypersensitive to bromhexine or to other components of the formulations.

• There are no reports of common side effects.
• Uncommon: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, upper abdominal pain.

• If new skin or mucosal lesions occur, medical advice should be sought immediately and treatment with bromhexine discontinued as a precaution.
• Exercise caution when combining with other cough medicines due to the risk of mucus accumulation in the respiratory tract.
• Use with caution in patients with: gastric ulcers; asthma (as the drug may cause bronchospasm in sensitive individuals); severe renal or hepatic impairment; or the elderly, as well as those who are debilitated or too weak to expectorate mucus.
• Do not use this medication in patients with fructose intolerance.
• Do not use this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Patients should monitor their body’s response to the medication before driving or operating machinery.
