PRESCRIBING INFORMATION

Indications

  • To thin phlegm in the following conditions: acute bronchitis, bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumonia, and post-surgical sputum expectoration.
  • Drainage in chronic sinusitis.

Dosage

  • Adults: 1 tablet (15 mg) 3 times daily.
    Dosage may be increased or decreased depending on age and symptoms.
  • Elderly: A dose reduction should be considered due to often impaired physiological function.

Usage

  • Orally taken with a full glass of water.
  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredients of the drug.

Possible adverse reactions

  • Stomach pain, bloating,
  • Abdominal pain, diarrhea,
  • Nausea, vomiting,
  • Constipation, loss of appetite, indigestion (bloating, heartburn, etc.)
  • Because it contains lactose, Amxolstad 15 should not be used in patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, total lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
  • For pregnant women or women of childbearing potential: The drug should only be used if the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks.
  • For breastfeeding women: The therapeutic benefits and the benefits of breastfeeding should be evaluated before deciding whether to continue or discontinue breastfeeding.
  • There is no evidence regarding the drug’s effect on the ability to drive or operate machinery. Patients should pay attention to their body’s response to the medication before driving or operating machinery.
