PRESCRIBING INFORMATION

Indications

  • Treatment of symptoms of urticaria, severe allergic rhinitis, with or without allergic conjunctivitis.

Dosage

Treatment of allergic rhinitis

  • Patients over 12 years old: 10 mg once daily. The dose may be increased to 20 mg once daily for severe symptoms or chronic allergic rhinitis.

Treatment of urticaria

  • Adults over 18 years old: 10 mg once daily.
  • Clinical data on the effectiveness of urticaria treatment in patients under 18 years of age are unavailable.

Usage

  • Stebastin 20 can be taken with or without food.
  • Swallow the tablet whole; do not chew.
  • History of hypersensitivity to any ingredients of the drug.
  • Ebastine should not be used to treat urticaria in adolescents under 18 years of age.

Commons

  • Sleepiness,
  • Dry mouth,
  • Headache.
  • Stebastin 20 does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery. However, in sensitive individuals, unusual reactions to ebastine, such as drowsiness or dizziness, may occur; it is recommended to check the individual patient’s response before driving or operating machinery.
  • Caution should be exercised when using ebastine in patients taking imidazole antifungal drugs, macrolide antibiotics, or antituberculosis drugs.
  • Ebastine should not be used to treat allergic rhinitis with or without allergic conjunctivitis in children under 12 years of age due to limited experience.
  • Caution should be exercised when using Stebastin 20 in patients with severe hepatic impairment or hypokalemia.
  • Stebastin 20 should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
